Alexa PenaVega<\/strong><\/a> and Carlos PenaVega<\/strong><\/a> opened up about competing against each other on Dancing With the Stars<\/em> in 2015.<\/p>\n

Carlos, 36, admitted to feeling \u201cjealous\u201d of Alexa, 37, dancing with pro Mark Ballas<\/strong> during season 21 in the Sunday, April 26, episode of the \u201cTwo Be Continued\u201d podcast.<\/a> \u201cIt was a blessing,\u201d he said of their time on the ABC show together. \u201cIt was a blessing because I think if [Alexa] had done that show without me, I would have been at home watching TV and all the rehearsals and been like, \u2018You\u2019re spending 12 hours<\/a> with this guy?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexa then noted that Carlos was \u201cvery jealous\u201d of the time she spent with Ballas, 39.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact that I got to do it as well at the same time \u2014 it\u2019s a lot of work. It looks very intimate, but really you\u2019re like, \u2018I hope I don\u2019t mess this up,\u2019\u201d Carlos explained. \u201cIt\u2019s not as sensual and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAlexa PenaVega is opening up about how Dancing With the Stars can be difficult for married people. Alexa, 36, and her husband, Carlos PenaVega, both competed on season 21 of Dancing With the Stars in 2015, and she\u2019s not sure whether they could\u2019ve handled the reality competition under different circumstances. \u201cIt was early in our [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Carlos also gushed about being able to work in close quarters with his wife and how he would \u201ccheck in\u201d on her dances.<\/p>\n

Alexa, for her part, said she had a \u201cvery different experience\u201d on the show than Carlos. \u201cI loved the show, but because Carlos was not at the time where he is now with his level of comfort \u2014 there were just insecurities \u2014 that made my experience so much harder.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t able to really focus the way I wanted to,\u201d Alexa continued. \u201cThat\u2019s the part of marriage where I wish at the time I was a little better at communicating.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple agreed that if they went on the show now, they would both handle it \u201cso differently.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be so much more fun if we got a do-over,\u201d Alexa said. \u201cIt\u2019s tough on your marriage, that show.\u201d<\/p>\n
