King Charles III attends celebration in Virginia<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\nIt took more than two hours for the crowd to make its way through security and onto the parade route earlier in the day. Those who couldn’t get into the secure area stood on the street, excited to get a wave from the royal couple as they drove by.<\/p>\n
Josh Forbes lives in Front Royal and said he wasn’t going to pass up the chance to see the King and Queen in person.<\/p>\n
“The king had his windows rolled down,” said Forbes. “We saw the king and queen. It was amazing, along with a ton of other cars and vehicles. I was really hoping we were going to be able to catch a glimpse. We kind of figured he’d have his windows rolled up and we’d see him roll by. But no, we saw him in person, and it was spectacular.”<\/p>\n
After the parade, the king and queen headed to Shenandoah National Park and then visited a horse farm.<\/p>\n
Following their four-day visit to the U.S., the royal couple heads to Bermuda for two days before returning home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
