Kevin McKidd<\/strong><\/a> and Kim Raver<\/strong><\/a> are exiting Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em><\/strong> in the upcoming season 22 finale and there was a major cliffhanger for their characters Owen Hunt and Teddy Altman during the season\u2019s penultimate episode.<\/p>\n

This post will contain spoilers from episode 17, which aired on April 30, so beware of reading any further if you don\u2019t want to be spoiled<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Heading into the episode \u201cThrough the Fire,\u201d Owen and Teddy were seemingly going strong as a couple after a recent rough patch in their relationship. There\u2019s a hiccup though. Just as Owen is about to tell Teddy how much he really loves her, she breaks the news that she\u2019s considering taking a job in Paris. <\/p>\n

Owen doesn\u2019t have a great reaction. He tells her, \u201cDo I have to be the bad guy who tells you not to go?\u2026 Just do what you want, like you always do.\u201d Later, Owen calls Teddy to apologize and leaves a voicemail on her phone. As she is listening to the voicemail, she learns about a bridge that has collapsed. <\/p>\n

Owen says in the message, \u201cTeddy, I owe you an apology for last night. I had something I wanted to say, and your news kind of threw me. Let\u2019s talk when I get in, if I ever get in. There\u2019s a ton of traffic on this bridge\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

The message ends with honks and crashing sounds, leaving us to wonder if Owen is alive or dead amid the collapse of the bridge. <\/p>\n

Shonda Rhimes may have already spoiled what happens\u2026<\/h3>\n

The show\u2019s creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes<\/strong> may have already hinted at the fate of Owen Hunt. <\/p>\n

When news of Kevin<\/strong> and Kim<\/strong>\u2018s exits were announced<\/a>, Shonda<\/strong> said in a statement, \u201cOver the years, we have had the privilege of watching Owen and Teddy\u2019s love story evolve and deepen \u2013 two characters who always seem to find their way back to each other. It is both bittersweet and joyful to give this couple the happy ending their story deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Considering that there is a \u201chappy ending,\u201d we\u2019re going to assume that Owen is alive<\/em> and that he\u2019ll end up with Teddy!<\/p>\n
