LeAnn Rimes<\/strong> <\/a>opened up about her role as stepmom to Eddie Cibrian<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s sons and feeling complete without welcoming children of her own.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have two stepsons that are now 22 and 18,\u201d she said during a segment that aired on the Friday, May 1, episode of the Today<\/em><\/a> show celebrating women in their 40s. \u201cI\u2019m kind of satisfied with what we have going on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cibrian, 52, shares sons Mason and Jake with ex-wife Brandi Glanville<\/strong>. When Rimes, 43, tied the knot with Cibran in 2011, Mason was 8 and Jake was 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople always assumed, \u2018She must not be able to have kids because she\u2019s not having kids,\u2019\u201d the singer continued. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018That has nothing to do with that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLeAnn Rimes got brutally honest about the work she and husband Eddie Cibrian put into their relationship while celebrating 15 years together amid ongoing family challenges. \u201cWe got to step away for 3 days amidst work and some very tense, heart wrenching things happening at home with family,\u201d Rimes, 43, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI just felt so strange that there had to be a reason other than I don\u2019t want kids,\u201d Rimes explained. \u201cThat should be reason enough. I didn\u2019t need anything to satisfy my own ego of \u2018This is my kid that I birthed or came from me.\u2019 It just didn\u2019t cross my mind. I was really happy raising his children and they\u2019re such great kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the clip, Rimes opened up about what\u2019s changed the most since she entered a new decade. \u201cIf I\u2019m having a bad day, I\u2019m gonna tell people I\u2019m having a bad day,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel like sometimes I have two speeds: one is grief and the other one\u2019s rage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rimes also got candid about the stress \u201call these changes\u201d women go through as they age can put on a marriage.<\/p>\n
