Nothing radiates nostalgia quite like a porch swing. Despite their simple design, these swings provoke powerful emotions because they are so closely tied to traditional family homes and childhood memories. For me, however, looking at a porch swing brings to mind the many celebrities who adore this feature \u2013 most recently Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.<\/p>\n

While the couple famously lives on the Upper East Side, they own a winter retreat in Telluride, Colorado, which serves as the perfect backdrop for their traditional porch swing (much like this one from Walmart<\/a>). Painted a vibrant red to complement the wooden tones of their home, the swing offers a warming, nostalgic feel that remains just as inviting in the snowy peaks of December as it does in the bright Colorado sun.<\/p>\n
