The Los Angeles Police Department is speaking out after Saturday Night Live<\/i><\/span><\/a> writer Jimmy Fowlie<\/strong> shared an update<\/span><\/a> on the disappearance of his sister, Christina Lynn Downer<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cRobbery-Homicide Division continues to investigate the disappearance of Christina Downer,\u201d LAPD said in a statement to Us Weekly<\/em>\u00a0on Thursday, April 30. \u201cAlthough the circumstances of her disappearance are suspicious, Ms. Downer has not been located, and her case has not been reclassified as a homicide. RHD will diligently investigate this case until a resolution can be reached.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the week, Fowlie returned to Instagram with an update on his sister\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n

In a lengthy statement, Downer\u2019s brother claimed police have informed his family \u201cthat Christina is no longer alive, and the case has officially transitioned from a missing person to a homicide investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

My sister can no longer advocate for herself, but I can and I hope you will too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fowlie continued, \u201cThe best way you could support me in this statement is to share this post and to talk about her story. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

In December 2025, Fowlie first asked for the public\u2019s help<\/span><\/a> in locating his missing sister. At the time, the LAPD also issued a press release<\/span><\/a> confirming authorities are looking for Downer.<\/p>\n

\u201cChristina Lynn Downer was last contacted on December 10, 2025, via text message with a friend. Her last known location was in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles. She has not been seen or heard from since,\u201d police shared. \u201cChristina Downer is described as a 38-year-old female with black hair and brown eyes. She stands five feet one inch tall and weighs approximately 115 pounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, Fowlie has received support from many of his Saturday Night Live <\/i>colleagues, including Bowen Yang<\/strong>, Sarah Sherman<\/strong> and Chloe Fineman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
