Jackson further opened up about the tough recovery process on her podcast, Legally Friends<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n One woman is sharing her harrowing experience recovering from plastic surgery.<\/p>\n Emily Jackson, co-host of the Legally Friends<\/em> podcast<\/a>, recently gave followers an inside look at her healing journey after undergoing a CO2 laser resurfacing treatment, an eyebrow lift and a lower blepharoplasty.<\/p>\n According to the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery<\/a>, CO2 laser resurfacing emits wavelengths that cause a “controlled injury,” which “triggers several healing responses.” The treatment is used to achieve “visibly smoother texture, more even tone and a noticeably firmer complexion.”<\/p>\n An eyebrow lift addresses sagging skin around the eyes and forehead, while a blepharoplasty removes excess skin from the eye area.<\/p>\n On Thursday, April 30, Jackson posted a video<\/a> to Instagram that detailed her recovery from days one through 10 post-op.<\/p>\n “Watch me ruin my face with a CO2 laser, brow lift and lower bleph,” she wrote over the first clip showing a laser being applied to her skin.<\/p>\n The first day of recovery proved to be the most gruesome, with Jackson’s face covered in bloody scabs and extremely swollen. The swelling and redness increased until around day five, when they began to subside and the effects of the treatments began to appear.<\/p>\n The final result showed Jackson with smooth, lifted skin.<\/p>\n “Who was scared?” she captioned the post.<\/p>\n Lots of people, apparently.<\/p>\n “Not going to lie, I was terrified for you,” one follower wrote in a comment. “Now I trust the process \u2728”<\/p>\n Emily Jackson.
