Kathy Hilton<\/a> shared that she recently fell for a deepfake ad for a new diet.<\/p>\n During the season 15 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/a><\/em>, the 67-year-old said she tried the Jell-O diet \u2014 which she thought was endorsed by Oprah Winfrey<\/a>, Michelle Obama<\/a>, Kelly Clarkson<\/a> and Dr. Mehmet Oz<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI had a little problem. I went on the Jell-O diet,\u201d she said. \u201cThere’s a new Jell-O diet that Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Kelly Clarkson \u2014 with vinegar and baking soda.\u201d<\/p>\n Hilton said she initially thought the diet was working, having lost 2 lbs. within the first day. However, her health quickly took a turn.<\/p>\n \u201cIt has messed up my whole entire system,\u201d she said. \u201cI was so bloated I could not fit into anything.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star said she eventually discovered that the advertisement and diet weren’t real. \u201cThey were lying to me. It was, like, AI versions of Oprah saying, \u2018I do this Jell-O diet?’ \u201d host Andy Cohen<\/a> asked.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd they have Dr. Oz<\/a> doing it, too,\u201d she replied.<\/p>\n In recent years, numerous celebrities have been used in deepfakes \u2014 videos featuring footage manipulated by artificial intelligence that replaces existing images and audio of a person with the likeness of someone else.<\/p>\n Last year, Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> slammed a fake ad that used her image to sell a weight-loss drug, saying, \u201cI had nothing to do with it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI’m giving everybody a heads-up. There’s a phony weight loss ad<\/a> floating around online on Instagram that has me, AI-mouthed, saying all kinds of stuff,\u201d she said on The View.<\/em> \u201cDo not indulge in this. Do not look at this, just get rid of it. Because I don’t know what it is, I had nothing to do with it.
