Only days before she will serve as a sponsor<\/a> for the 2026 Met Gala<\/a> (an event that acts as one of fashion\u2019s most ostentatious<\/a> nights of the year), Lauren S\u00e1nchez Bezos<\/a> was spotted out and about in New York City, where she sported one of her more surprisingly understated looks yet.<\/p>\n

For this particular outing, the children\u2019s book author<\/a> leaned into a bit of a corporate aesthetic, pairing a crisp white button-up with some chocolate high-waisted slacks that featured wide legs and darting all along the waist.<\/p>\n

To continue her neutral tones, the former journalist slipped into a pair of cream platform heels, while carrying a black leather clutch<\/a> from Herm\u00e8s. Meanwhile, she popped on a pair of oversize sunglasses that featured soft sepia lenses.<\/p>\n

Still, S\u00e1nchez Bezos can\u2019t help but add a little bit of drama<\/a> to her ensembles. Ever the fan of a cinched look<\/a>, the former Extra <\/em>correspondent tightened the bottom half of her top with a sandy belt, which appeared relatively nondescript from the front.<\/p>\n

However, the view around back revealed that this sash was actually a corset belt, which laced up in the rear for a subtly Victorian touch. Perhaps she\u2019s still feeling a bit inspired by the Wuthering Heights <\/em>press tour<\/a> that took place earlier this year? (Check it out here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

One place where she will surely not hold anything back is at the Met Gala this coming Monday, where S\u00e1nchez Bezos will act as a sponsor alongside her husband, Jeff, as well as the French-based fashion house Saint Laurent.<\/p>\n

This will mark her second time attending the fashion fundraiser, after she previously walked the red carpet in 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
