Donald Trump offered a candid view of Britain’s royal family during a private Oval Office meeting, sharing how he sees the ongoing rift between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton.<\/p>\n
The president had firm thoughts about the two couples and was willing to share what he believes the future holds for them. According to People<\/a>, the discussion showed that President Trump is well-informed about current events<\/a> even when it concerns the British royals.<\/p>\n Royal biographer Robert Hardman enjoyed some time with Trump during a state visit by King Charles and Queen Camilla. While their meeting started in the most routine way, it soon turned into a discussion about the monarchy.<\/p>\n Hardman and Trump were soon talking about the senior royals, and the president seemed enthusiastic to share his opinion about the king. “We\u2019ve done a good job with the King, right?… He\u2019s a great guy, he really is.\u201d<\/p>\n Not skipping a beat, Trump steered the conversation to Prince William, asking Hardman, “William, he\u2019ll be a good King, won\u2019t he?\u201d before adding, \u201cHe\u2019s very nice. A great guy. I like him.”<\/p>\n Of course, the president also mentioned Kate Middleton. He and the Princess of Wales reportedly got along well during the state banquet in the U.K. last year, and he didn’t miss the opportunity to ask about her.<\/p>\n \u201cHow\u2019s she doing? She\u2019s so great. She was sick, people said crazy things about her and she was so brave,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n Trump also took the time to ask about William and Kate’s children. He was interested to know about them too, asking, “The kids are good kids, right?”<\/p>\n All Trump’s questions about William and his family suggested that he genuinely admires the core working royals. His interest in even the children revealed that he wants to know that they are doing well.<\/p>\n After all, it’s widely accepted that William and Kate are the monarchy’s future<\/a>. And they are also the parents of the future king<\/p>\n When the conversation shifted to Harry and Meghan, Hardman noted that the tone also changed. The couple stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 and relocated to California where they are still living with their two children.<\/p>\n Since leaving, their have been reports of a feud within the royal family, mostly between Harry and William<\/a>. Harry also talked about it in his book Spare. <\/em>Prince Charles also avoided Harry<\/a> during his trip to the U.S.<\/p>\n Trump asked Hardman a direct question which had obviously been on his mind. “So can Harry make a comeback?” he wanted to know. It seems as if he wanted to know if the Duke of Sussex could return and become a working royal again.<\/p>\n When told that it was unlikely, Trump responded, “Too many things, I guess.”<\/p>\n He was more direct when he spoke about Meghan, saying, “That wife of his.
