While it is believed that Charlotte will one day take on full-time royal duty, one royal expert has said that in this \u201cnew era\u201d of the Royal Family, it is not something Charlotte\u2019s parents Prince William<\/a> and Princess Catherine will make her do if she doesn\u2019t want to.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Former BBC<\/a> royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror<\/a>: \u201cI suspect that a life of full-time royal duty does eventually await the young princess \u2013 given the dwindling number of working Royals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cBut I don\u2019t think it\u2019s something that her parents will insist on if, in the end, it\u2019s really something she doesn\u2019t want to do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis is a new era and one which, I think, will afford some of the young royals, a little more choice. That I think, is only fair.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Before this, the young princess stepped out on Christmas Day in Sandringham, where she spent time shaking hands with members of the public, giving hugs and even taking selfies.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
