Princess Charlotte is celebrating her 11th birthday and is the
\nlatest sports star of the Royal Family on her big day.<\/p>\n
As the princess, third in line to the throne, marked her special
\nmoment, the royals released a new portrait and a video showing
\nCharlotte on a recent holiday.<\/p>\n
In the video, shared on socials as is usual for the royals now,
\nCharlotte is seen playing cricket and showing her love of sports, a
\npassion she shares with both her parents. The princess is also seen
\nsnuggling up to the pet dogs owned by the Wales family.<\/p>\n
And there\u2019s also fun on the beach as she uses shells to create a
\nheart in the sand.<\/p>\n
The video was shared with a thank you message for all the
\nbirthday wishes that had been sent to Charlotte.<\/p>\n

On the morning of her 11th birthday, May 2nd 2026, her parents
\nreleased a brand new photo of their only daughter, taken in
\nCornwall.<\/p>\n
It was taken by Matt Porteous who has taken several special
\nportraits for the Wales family and who took to their social media
\nchannel to wish the princess a happy birthday.<\/p>\n
The Prince and Princess of Wales recently spent a break in the
\ncounty with their three children \u2013 William and Kate are also Duke
\nand Duchess of Cornwall, the title traditionally given to the heir
\nto the English throne.<\/p>\n
The new portrait,shows Charlotte enjoying a walk in a field
\nfilled with daisies. The princess is clearly taking fashion tips
\nfrom her mum \u2013 Charlotte\u2019s top in the photo is very like Kate\u2019s
\nfavourite Breton stripe jumpers which she has worn on many
\noccasions.<\/p>\n
The Cornish photo is the latest from the holiday to mark a big
\nmoment for the Wales family. Prince Louis started the trend as he
\nturned 8 on April 23 and was seen in an image from the break to
\nmark his birthday.<\/p>\n
On April 29, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a photo of
\nthem with their three children as they celebrated their 15th
\nwedding anniversary. Kate was seen lying in the grass with Louis
\nand Charlotte while her eldest son, Prince George, sat next to her
\nwith his dad, Prince William.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s understood that the Wales family was in Cornwall earlier in
\nApril during the Easter holidays. On Easter Sunday itself they were
\nat St. George\u2019s Chapel, Windsor where they attended morning service
\nwith The King and Queen as well as other members of the Royal
\nFamily including Princess Anne and the Duke of Edinburgh.<\/p>\n
Charlotte\u2019s birthday is being spent privately with her family.
\nShe was born on May 2 2015 at St. Mary\u2019s Hospital, Paddington, and
\nwas fourth in line to the throne at the time. She became third in
\nline on September 8 2022 on the death of her great grandmother,
\nQueen Elizabeth II, and the accession of her grandfather as King
\nCharles III.<\/p>\n
