One guest the King spent time with was UK Olympic diver Tom Daley, who now lives in the US with his family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
In a chat with the Olympian, King Charles revealed that he tried knitting when he was younger, but is considering returning to the popular hobby.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Tom said: \u201cHe (King Charles) said he tried knitting when he was eight and he wasn\u2019t very good.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
He continued: \u201cBut he said he might pick it back up \u2014 he knows it\u2019s very good for mental health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cI want to try and get it back into the school curriculum, and maybe he can help me do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
King Charles has a busy few days ahead, with the US state visit seeing Their Majesties spend time in Washington DC, New York and Virginia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
At the end of the state visit on April 30, the King will fly to Bermuda alone for two days of engagements. Queen Camilla will not accompany her husband to Bermuda.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
