\nHeydar Aliyev Foundation, the “Baku Marathon 2026” is taking place
\ntoday, which will be remembered not only as a sporting event but

\nit succeeded.<\/p>\n
\npulsating center of energy: thousands of runners, media
\npersonalities, diplomats, representatives of culture and science –
\nall gathered here to become part of one of the brightest events of
\nthe year.<\/p>\n
\nin Baku; however, this year it will be held for the first time in
\nthe format of a full marathon of 42 km. As before, the start was
\ngiven at State Flag Square, while the finish line this time is
\nlocated on the territory of Sea Breeze. This year is also
\ndistinguished by the scale of entertainment.
But this marathon is not only about kilometers and seconds. It is
\nabout the atmosphere. About a city that becomes a stage for one
\nday.<\/p>\n
\nconcert venue, music, applause, and a motto that perfectly reflects
\nthe mood of the day \u2013 “Even if you don’t run – don’t miss the fun.”
\nIn the fan zone of the starting point, interesting moments have
\nbeen created for runners and guests who came to watch the
\ncompetitions right up until the evening. A grand open-air concert
\nprogram featuring favorite performers is presented.<\/p>\n
\nKazimova, Tunzala Agayeva, Lala Mammadova, Manana Japaridze, Azad
\nShabanov, Jeyhun Zeynalov (Cin), Elnara Khalilova, Emilia Yagubova,
\nFarid Eminov (Qurd), Khatira Islam, Ilgara Kazimova, Irada
\nIbrahimova, Kazim Can, Mehin Humbatova, Metin Huseynzade (MadTeen),
\nHiss, Rilaya, Samira Ali Maryam, Sevanna, the groups Cahan, Naz
\nGirls, “Sheron,” DJ China (Chingiz Mustafayev), as well as
\nEurovision stars – Dilara Kazimova, Eldar Gasimov, Nadir Rustamli,
\nNigar Jamal, Samira Efendi, and others.<\/p>\n
\nhas also been presented for athletes and visitors since morning: DJ
\nCame, MeryBand, Ellai, mascots, interesting photo zones, and
\nvolunteers welcoming participants and turning the moment of
\ncrossing the finish line into a real show. Here, fatigue is
\nreplaced by emotions, and every finish is a small personal
\nvictory.<\/p>\n
\nPrimorsky Boulevard to Neftchilar Avenue, from the White City to
\nHeydar Aliyev Avenue, further through key highways and toward the
\ncoast. Along the distance, there are twenty entertainment and
\nmotivational points, water, medical assistance, and support that
\nliterally carries participants forward.<\/p>\n
\nU.S., Germany, Great Britain, China, Georgia, Kazakhstan,
\nKyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, T\u00fcrkiye, Ukraine, and other
\ncountries are fighting for victory. At the same time, the marathon
\nremains open and inclusive – people with disabilities and
\nparticipants with Down syndrome are taking part in it.<\/p>\n
\nsecond – 4,000, third – 2,000. In addition, all participants who
\ncomplete the distance will receive medals. It was also decided to
\nreward participants who covered a shorter distance. Thus, the first
\n2,000 participants who cannot cope with the 42-kilometer distance
\nbut cover the half-marathon distance of 21 kilometers will be
\nawarded medals, and those who complete a 10-kilometer distance will
\nreceive certificates.
Furthermore, the first finishing male and female students, the
\nfirst corporate participant (male and female), and the oldest
\nparticipants (male and female) to cross the finish line will be
\nawarded.<\/p>\n

\ncity festival, where everyone finds their own distance or simply a
