On Saturday Night Live<\/em>, host and musical guest<\/a> Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s rideshare takes an odd turn when her white driver suddenly starts loudly singing along\u2014quite well\u2014to a Jamaican dance hall song.<\/p>\n Marcy (Rodrigo) and her friend (Veronika Slowikowska) are headed out for the night, and get a few minutes of light conversation in before their driver (Andrew Dismukes) permanently alters the vibe of the car ride.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cYa put it on me and I go beast mode \/ Ya put it on me like chicken on rice \/ In me bed and I gonna hit it twice,\u201d he sings.<\/p>\n After about two verses, the driver is shocked at what had just come out of his mouth, and his passengers are staring down awkwardly.<\/p>\n \u201cTemperature alright for you back there?\u201d he asks, avoiding the issue. But Marcy confronts him.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat was that?\u201d she asks. \u201cYou started aggressively singing a Jamaican dance hall song, like really loud.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know what that was,\u201d he replies, bewildered at how he had just made up the lyrics on the spot. \u201cI have as much information as you do. Can we just forget it?\u201d<\/p>\n But they can\u2019t, and he gets aggravated.<\/p>\n \u201cI just realized I\u2019m one of the most talented MC\u2019s on Earth! I don\u2019t want that to be my life. I don\u2019t want to be a white Rasta guy!\u201d he exclaims repeatedly.<\/p>\n When the girls try to make him feel better by saying the song wasn\u2019t that good, he doesn\u2019t believe them: \u201cIt was next-level.
