Hathaway\u2019s performance of the track \u2018Burial\u2019 was released back in March, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/anne-hathaway-sings-charli-xcx-penned-track-burial-mother-mary-soundtrack-3933189\">and can be heard here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the actress has opened up about working as a musician for the film, saying the experience was \u201chumbling\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Mother Mary | Official Trailer 2 | A24\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EE3KU_YT3_c?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time that Hathaway has gotten involved in the soundtracks to her films, having also taken on singing roles in both the 2012 film adaptation of\u00a0<em>Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em>, and in 2011\u2019s animated film,\u00a0<em>Rio<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>However, in a new interview with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DiscussingFilm\/status\/2049993375265517897\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Discussing Film<\/em><\/a>, she explained how the experience differed from working as a musical theatre actress. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of like asking if a ten-speed bike and a Harley are the same thing,\u201d she said. \u201cTechnically, yeah, it\u2019s the same genus, but the specifics are completely different, and I had to learn how to ride a Harley, you know, the intricacies of the voice to the microphone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not something I\u2019d ever really gotten to play around with, and that took a while for me to wrap my head around, but I had an amazing guide in Jack Antonoff,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe just kept giving me notes.
