You will also find the revisionist comedy horror zombie classic, <em>The Return of the Living Dead<\/em>, from writer extraordinaire Dan O&#8217;Bannon, in his first directorial effort. For those who love a good watch party, there are a grand total of five watch parties this month on the streamer. But let&#8217;s get back to TV, shall we?<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In May, Shudder will premiere the third season of the critically acclaimed series <em>The Terror <\/em>on May 7. The third season, <em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/tv\/articles\/amc-terror-unleashes-first-5-152434679.html\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:The Terror:;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">The Terror:<\/a><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/tv\/articles\/terror-season-3-trailer-dan-160055647.html\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Devil in Silver;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Devil in Silver<\/a>, <\/em>is based on the novel by Victor LaValle and stars Dan Stevens, Judith Light, CCH Pounder, and Chinaza Uche. Each season is a standalone story, and the third season is written by Chris Cantwell and LaValle, and is executive produced by Stevens, Cantville, LaValle, and director Karen Kusama, who directs two of the episodes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Is that all? Nope! Shudder has acquired the streaming rights to <em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/tv\/articles\/many-famous-faces-spot-exclusive-170029893.html\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Tales From the Crypt;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\">Tales From the Crypt<\/a>, <\/em>the beloved series originally aired from June 10, 1989, to July 19, 1996. It was the first TV show to take advantage of cable television&#8217;s ability to air shows with all of that luscious violence, gore, sexuality, and nudity that broadcast networks weren&#8217;t allowed to air. Based on the E.C. Comics series of ironically moral tales that featured The Cryptkeeper, the very punny skeletal teller of the tale, it had episodes that starred Brad Pitt, Demi Moore, John Lithgow, Christopher Reeve, Catherine O\u2019Hara, Steve Buscemi, and Brooke Shields, among others. When we say, among others, we&#8217;re not joking, the list of name actors who starred in the series run is about 209.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The series has never been available on streaming, and Shudder will release all seven seasons once a week, starting on Friday, May 1, all the better for you to binge each season leisurely. Robert Zemeckis, Tobe Hooper, William Friedkin, Tom Hanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Michael J. Fox directed episodes of the show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Among the Shudder repertory titles this month, you won&#8217;t want to miss the disturbing epic, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fangoria.com\/review-martyrs-2016\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Martyrs;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \"><em>Martyrs<\/em><\/a>, and the Lucio Fulci hot-blooded dance of dread, <em>Murderrock<\/em>. Screambox has four new episodes from the 17th season of <em>Bloody Bites, <\/em>the original short film series, and some classic black and white horror movies, <em>Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror<\/em> and <em>Freaks.<\/em> For those who may have missed it, Screambox also features Spanish writer and director Carlota Pereda&#8217;s slasher film from the perspective of a bullied young woman, <em>Piggy. <\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Paramount + has committed to horror parodies with two <em>Scary Movie<\/em> features this month. This is one that home viewers and <em>Send Help <\/em>superfans have been waiting for. You can start enjoying it on May 7. For zombie apocalypse fans, the streamer has <em>We Bury the Dead, <\/em>a terror tale set in Tasmania that stars Daisy Ridley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Criterion Channel has curated double features of <em>Cat People<\/em>, <em>The Thing<\/em>, and three of the <em>Chinese Ghost Story<\/em> films. Crunchyroll brings the horror anime movie,<em> Chainsaw Man \u2013 The Movie Reze Arc<\/em>. Bloodstream, the newish streamer, which has two tiers, which include free movie options and a subscription model, has gone wild with <em>Amityville<\/em> movies in May. It has no less than 12 independent and low-budget <em>Amityville<\/em> movies, including <em>Amityville Karen<\/em>, <em>Amityville Death Toilet<\/em>, and <em>Amityville Thanksgiving<\/em>. However, fans of 70s Euro Horror would likely enjoy it as a new exploration of the <em>Blind Dead<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Troma Now weighs in with <em>Amityville Rex,<\/em> yes, another <em>Amityville<\/em> movie, classic black and white monster movie, <em>The Crawling Eye, <\/em>from 1958, and TV series<em> Fantastico Disasterpiece Theatre<\/em>: Season 4, which is hosted by Nate Turnpaugh, Gringo Disasterpiece himself. Joining him this season are horror legends Brinke Stevens, Michelle Bauer, Linnea Quigley, and comedian Johnny Taylor Jr. Disasterpiece and his guests will discuss such films as <em>Class of Nuke
