Shakira<\/a> became the latest artist to draw an audience of millions to Brazil\u2019s Copacabana Beach as the singer performed a hits-filled free concert on Saturday.<\/p>\n An estimated 2 million people attended the show in Rio De Janeiro, where Shakira delivered a nearly 30-song set that included guest appearances by Anitta, Maria Bethania, and Caetano Veloso.<\/p>\n \u201cI arrived here when I was 18 years old, dreaming about singing for you,\u201d the Colombian-born Shakira told the crowd shortly after taking the stage. \u201cAnd now look at this. Life is magical.\u201d<\/p>\n Shakira\u2019s set included hits like \u201cHips Don\u2019t Lie,\u201d \u201cShe Wolf,\u201d \u201cBZRP Music Sessions #53,\u201d \u201cLa Tortura,\u201d \u201cWaka Waka,\u201d \u201cWhenever, Wherever,\u201d and \u201cChoka Choka\u201d featuring surprise guest Anitta:<\/p>\n Shakira is the third consecutive female artist to perform a free show at Copacabana Beach, following Madonna in 2024 and Lady Gaga in 2025; the latter show drew a record-breaking 2.5 million people<\/a> to the Rio De Janeiro beach.<\/p>\n Despite being a free concert, Shakira\u2019s show was expected to generate an estimated $150 million in tourism revenue to the city, according to local government.<\/p>\n
