Tom Hanks has revealed why Woody (whom he voices) will have a shiny bald spot in Toy Story 5.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n The actor gave a surprisingly realistic answer when speaking to Entertainment Weekly,<\/a> which makes a lot of sense. \u201cHe has been playing with, to excess,\u201d said Hanks about Woody\u2019s changing appearance.<\/p>\n \u201cYou put a rubber hat on top of a rubber head again and again and again, something\u2019s going to chafe,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo yeah, he does have\u2026 let\u2019s say a worn <\/em>area on the back of his head.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not just Woody\u2019s hair (or lack of) that\u2019s changing in Toy Story 5. <\/em>Since Woody\u2019s been a toy for so long, even his stomach has changed, too. \u201cHe is not shaped plastic,\u201d Hanks explained. \u201cHe is made of stuffing and cloth, and that stuff settles over time.\u201d<\/p>\n COMPLEX SHOP:<\/b> Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. When do you get them involved in tech? What does that do to their brains?” she said. “And that’s what this movie’s about. It’s about humanity and playing and loyalty \u2014 and it makes me cry.”<\/p>\n The first trailer<\/a> for Toy Story 5 <\/em>came out in February, setting the stage for a battle between the toys and a touchscreen tablet.<\/p>\n Co-directed by Andrew Stanton and Kenna Harris, the movie picks up where the previous chapter left off.
