Kid Cudi<\/a> kicked off his Rebel Ragers tour<\/a> in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday (April 28), dedicating a performance of the Kids See Ghosts<\/em><\/a> track \u201cReborn\u201d to the artist formerly known<\/a> as Kanye West<\/a>.<\/p>\n The two artists, as anyone reading this is aware, have a long and complicated history dating back more than 20 years<\/a>. Their undeniable chemistry in the studio was on full display with 2018\u2019s Kids See Ghosts<\/em> album, which at one point seemed poised to be getting a sequel.<\/p>\n Ultimately, a follow-up never materialized, with Cudi more recently suggesting that he and Ye may never be able to tap into their shared sense of creativity again<\/a>.<\/p>\n At Tuesday\u2019s Rebel Ragers tour opener, as seen below, Cudi dedicated his performance of \u201cReborn\u201d to Ye.<\/p>\n COMPLEX SHOP:<\/b> Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThis one\u2019s for Ye,\u201d he told the Phoenix crowd, later urging them to \u201csing this loud so Ye can hear you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cTonight was incredible, incredible. Like, unreal,\u201d Cudi later said of the Phoenix show in an Instagram Stories update<\/a>. \u201cI am so f**kinghyped. Phoenix, thank you for showing love. \u2026 I felt it and I\u2019m looking forward to feeling it 32 more times, straight up.\u201d<\/p>\n Cudi, whose feature-length directorial debut Doe<\/em> is expected soon, will next bring his Rebel Ragers tour\u2014featuring M.I.A., Big Boi, and more<\/a>\u2014to Albuquerque, New Mexico on Wednesday. The tour will continue from there with scheduled stops in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and beyond.<\/p>\n Ye, meanwhile, is fresh off the release of Bully<\/em>, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The album\u2019s released was preceded by the publication of a full-page Wall Street Journal<\/em> ad<\/a> in January in which the 24-time Grammy winner detailed his struggles with bipolar disorder and acknowledged the hurt he had caused with his past hateful remarks.<\/p>\n \u201cI regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change,\u201d Ye wrote in the WSJ<\/em> statement, which later received an addendum in response to controversy over his Wireless Festival booking<\/a>. \u201cIt does not excuse what I did, though.
