The 65th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, which will take place from June 12 to 16, will open with the international premiere of the first two episodes of Season 3 of \u201cThe Walking Dead: Dead City,\u201d in the presence of actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, alongside showrunner Seth Hoffman.<\/p>\n
Season 3 of the show, which is produced by AMC Studios, premieres in the summer on AMC\/AMC+. In this season, Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) finally set aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse. But as chaos begins to emerge across the city, they are forced to confront a crucial question: have they truly learned from their past, or will their dark history ultimately doom the entire city?<\/p>\n
More from Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n Spanish actress Ester Exp\u00f3sito will receive the International Golden Nymph for most promising talent, recognizing a rapidly rising international career since her breakout role in the hit Netflix series \u201cElite.\u201d<\/p>\n British actor Matthew Broome will also be honored with the International Golden Nymph for most promising talent, acknowledging a fast-rising career driven notably by his role in \u201cMy Fault: London\u201d (Prime Video) and his performance in \u201cThe Buccaneers\u201d (Apple TV+).<\/p>\n Michel Drucker will be presented with the Honorary Nymph Award, in recognition of an exceptional career and his major contribution to the history of television.<\/p>\n As previously reported, Kristin Scott Thomas and Kurt Russell will be presented with the Crystal Nymph Award in recognition of their careers.<\/p>\n The fiction jury will be chaired by Lesley Manville (U.K.), alongside Charlene McKenna (Ireland), Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique Bel (France), Greg Daniels (U.S.), Hojin Kwon (South Korea), Kevin McKidd (Scotland) and Yasmin Finney (U.K.).<\/p>\n The digital jury will be chaired by Susanne Daniels (U.S.), former global head of original content at YouTube, joined by director and producer Luke Hyams (U.K.), with a final member whose appointment will be confirmed shortly.<\/p>\n The feature reports and news jury will be chaired by Joshua Seftel (U.S.), alongside Mouhssine Ennaimi (France), H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Mannarino (France), Margo Smit (Netherlands) and Will Hanrahan (U.K.).<\/p>\n The Business Forum will feature renowned international talent, creators, producers and industry executives, including Sue Latimer, Aldis Hodge, Ben Watkins, Michael Hirst, Barry Buren and Rola Bauer.<\/p>\n \u201cThis 65th edition embodies both our commitment to our heritage and our determination to fully embrace the ongoing transformation of television.
