These days, my life looks a lot different than when I joined the cast of Jersey Shore 15 years ago. And honestly, I wouldn\u2019t have it any other way. Many of you watched me grow up on TV (the final season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premieres on May 7). But if you\u2019d told the younger version of me that one day I\u2019d be writing about gratitude and purpose, he probably would\u2019ve asked if you were feeling okay.<\/p>\n

Life has a funny way of humbling you. A lot of that perspective came from going through my own battles with substance abuse and finding sobriety in 2015, something that completely changed the direction of my life<\/a>. And for me, New Jersey has been the backdrop for the highs, the lows and everything in between. I\u2019ve had my share of difficult circumstances (I bet you thought I was going to say situations), but what matters most is what you do after them.<\/p>\n

These days, when I walk along the same streets in Seaside Heights that I did over 15 years ago, it feels different. It\u2019s not about who\u2019s watching anymore. It\u2019s about who\u2019s walking beside me. My wife, Lauren, my three kids and my family mean the world to me. There\u2019s nothing better than experiencing the place that once represented chaos and seeing it now through a lens of peace and purpose\u2014and maybe still a good meal, because let\u2019s be honest, that part hasn\u2019t changed.<\/p>\n

And the Jersey Shore cast? That\u2019s family, too. We\u2019ve been through it all together\u2014things people saw on TV and a lot they didn\u2019t. Through every chapter, they\u2019ve stuck by me. That kind of loyalty, you can\u2019t fake.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t script it, either. It\u2019s real, and it\u2019s rare. I\u2019ll always be grateful for that. Even though Jersey Shore: Family Vacation\u2019s time is coming to a close on MTV, this isn\u2019t the end for us\u2014it\u2019s just a shift into what comes next. The cameras may change, the platform may evolve, but what we\u2019ve built together isn\u2019t going anywhere.<\/p>\n

And then there\u2019s giving back. Creating the Archangel Centers<\/a> has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Being able to help people who are going through tough times\u2014addiction, mental health challenges, who feel lost or stuck\u2014I see a lot of myself in them. If my story, my mistakes and my comeback can help even one person find their way, then every step of the journey was worth it.<\/p>\n

The Jersey Shore will always be iconic. It\u2019ll always have that energy, that magic. But for me, it\u2019s evolved throughout the years, just like I have. It\u2019s no longer just a place where I partied. It\u2019s a place where I found myself, lost myself, and found myself again. It\u2019s where I learned that real strength isn\u2019t about being the loudest in the room, it\u2019s about being the most grounded.<\/p>\n

So, yes, the style and the tan might be a little less intense these days, and the priorities have definitely changed. But the love for New Jersey? That\u2019s forever. This place made me who I am. And now, I get to show up for it in a whole new way.<\/p>\n

The comeback is always greater than the setback. And trust me\u2014we\u2019re just getting started.<\/p>\n
