Dave Grohl<\/a> has revealed that Foo Fighters<\/a> were forced to rename their latest album because of Wicked: For Good<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n The frontman recently sat down with Radio X\u2019s John Kennedy to discuss \u2018Your Favorite Toy<\/a>\u2019, which arrived last Friday (April 24), featuring previously-released singles \u2018Caught In The Echo\u2019,\u00a0\u2018Asking For A Friend\u2019<\/a>, and\u00a0\u2018Of All People\u2019<\/a>, as well as the record\u2019s\u00a0title track<\/a> \u2013 which may well have been different if it weren\u2019t for the Wicked<\/em> sequel.<\/p>\n \u201cActually, you know what I wanted to call the record? I wanted to call the record \u2018For Good\u2019, because that song, \u2018Your Favourite Toy\u2019, at first I called it \u2018For Good,\u2019\u201d Grohl explained. \u201cIn that song, \u2018Your Favourite Toy,\u2019 it says, \u2018Get back, hear that boy \/ Someone threw away your favourite toy for good<\/em>.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n After \u2018For Good\u2019 popped into his head as a potential album title, he said he realised it was a good one not only for the song, but to frame the entire album. \u201cThey could have more than a few meanings,\u201d he said, \u201cbut I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s kind of nice \u2013 \u2018For Good.’\u201d<\/p>\n However, his excitement was dampened when he learned of the second Wicked<\/em> film\u2019s title, and continued: \u201cThat Wicked movie came out, and it\u2019s called Wicked: For Good<\/em>. And I was so pissed! So, then I changed the title of the song, and then it just became the title of the album.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
