Chada Entertainment has taken on international sales rights to Thai supernatural horror \u201c1 After One\u201d ahead of the Cannes Film Market, with a first-look image unveiled.<\/p>\n
The project is produced by Taweewat Wantha \u2013 whose \u201cDeath Whisperer\u201d franchise ranks among the highest-grossing Thai films ever made \u2013 alongside Sangar Chatchairungruang of Transformation Films. Wantha built his reputation with \u201cDeath Whisperer,\u201d which earned some $15 million at the local box office; its sequel cleared $27 million to place second on the all-time Thai chart. \u201c1 After One\u201d is directed by Bordeekorn Lohachala, whose credits include \u201cA-Ma.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the old man dies without performing the rite that would have bound those forces permanently, they scatter \u2013 and fix on his bloodline. What follows plays out across a single night with no exit.<\/p>\n Lead actor Arak Amornsupasiri, known for \u201c4 Kings\u201d and \u201cIn Youth We Trust,\u201d plays the central role. Opposite him, Warintorn Panhakarn \u2013 who broke into features with \u201cSame Day with Someone\u201d \u2013 plays Chang, a long-time friend with a practitioner\u2019s command of the occult whose composed surface conceals a calculating intent that anchors the film\u2019s central conflict.<\/p>\n The production marks Transformation Films\u2019 first collaboration with Taiwanese partners, uniting the genre banner \u2013 whose credits include \u201cSuddenly Twenty,\u201d \u201cInhuman Kiss,\u201d and \u201cMurderer\u201d \u2013 with GrX Studio (\u201cThe Tag-Along\u201d franchise, \u201cThe Photo from 1977,\u201d \u201cCopycat Killer\u201d) and Lots Home Entertainment (\u201cBreaking and Re-entering,\u201d \u201cSuffocating Love\u201d).
