ABC\u2019s \u201cGood Morning America\u201d will broadcast a live segment from a Washington State Ferries boat Thursday.<\/p>\n
The morning news show\u2019s visit to Washington state comes amid its ongoing series, \u201c50 States in 50 Weeks: America the Beautiful<\/a>.\u201d The series, which kicked off in Delaware in July 2025 to celebrate 50 years of \u201cGMA,\u201d is also leading up to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence<\/a> in July. Each week, a \u201cGMA\u201d anchor or correspondent visits a new state, following the order in which they joined the U.S., to spotlight a \u201clocal changemaker and showcase the state\u2019s unique culture, history, traditions and landmarks,\u201d according to a release from ABC News.<\/p>\n Washington\u2019s \u201cGMA\u201d segment will be live from a Washington State Ferries vessel that they got special access to, en route from Seattle to Bainbridge Island on Thursday at 4 a.m. PST, aligning with the morning show\u2019s usual airtime on the East Coast at 7 a.m. EST. Viewers on the West Coast can watch the tape-delayed segment at 7 a.m. PST, according to ABC News.<\/p>\n \u201cGMA\u201d correspondent Becky Worley will also feature a pretaped segment on Puget Sound Express<\/a>, a family owned business that has offered whale watching tours for more than 35 years.<\/p>\n \u201cThis series is a chance for us to explore the country and share stories that reflect the heart of each state,\u201d said Simone Swink, \u201cGood Morning America\u201d senior executive producer, in the release. \u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to meeting people, highlighting what makes each state special, and proudly keeping the \u2018A\u2019 in \u2018GMA.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
