King Charles and Queen Camilla<\/a> traveled to the United States for four days in late April 2026, where they took part in several events at the White House alongside President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moments before the royal couple departed on April 30, they bid the Trumps goodbye outside their car. A lip reader who claimed to have witnessed the exchange said she saw Melania ask Camilla to pass along a sweet message to Kate Middleton <\/a>and her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cGood luck with everything, and enjoy yourself,\u201d Melania told Camilla, according to lip reader Nicola Hickling (via The Sun<\/a><\/em>). She then added, \u201cSend my love to Catherine and William and their children.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first lady and Princess of Wales have reportedly grown close, and after Charles and Camilla\u2019s successful trip, the Trumps invited Kate and Prince William to visit America in summer 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cMelania wants Catherine, in particular, to come,\u201d a source told the Daily Mail<\/a><\/em>. \u201cShe admires her greatly and would love her to visit.\u201d<\/p>\n

This follows a November 2025 report from Page Six<\/a> <\/em>that revealed Kate and William were allegedly eyeing an official visit in July 2026, lining it up with the 4th of July festivities.<\/p>\n

Melania and Kate previously bonded and spent time together while working with the Scouts in Windsor in September 2025 during the Trumps\u2019 U.K. visit. At the time, a Kensington Palace source told Hello!<\/em> magazine<\/a>, \u201cYou could very much see how warm and friendly they were after spending time together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were chatting away and they both really enjoyed the engagement,\u201d the source added. \u201cThe First Lady was super-relaxed and she really enjoyed her time with the Princess.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another source added that this engagement was \u201cthe start of what looks set to be a very warm, long-term relationship between Kate and Melania.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
