The lawsuit was tossed months later.<\/p>\n<p>The documents cite a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/leginfo.legislature.ca.gov\/faces\/codes_displaySection.xhtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">California law<\/a> that protects individuals who have made sexual harassment claims from defamation suits.<\/p>\n<p>Per the documents, Lively can be paid for attorney fees, \u201cdamages for any harm caused to them by the defamation action\u201d and \u201cpunitive damages.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter from her retaliation and harassment allegations and that she communicated \u201cwithout malice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a part of the settlement, Baldoni can\u2019t appeal the judge\u2019s
