Boston\u2019s newest music tradition is set to launch this Saturday, as the Mojo Boston Music Festival takes over City Hall Plaza.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Described by organizers as \u201cBoston\u2019s newest tradition in the heart of the city,\u201d<\/a> the 10-hour event promises a full day of indie and house music, food, drinks, and live art.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The event is led by Local Mojo, a group of former UMass<\/a> students dedicated to boosting local music scenes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new festival<\/a> arrives as the annual Boston Calling music festival takes a break<\/a> for the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Starting at 12 p.m., two stages will feature a mix of national and local bands and DJs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased via Local Mojo\u2019s website<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Organizers shared in an Instagram post<\/a> that tickets are selling faster than expected, projecting a sell-out before Saturday. People from all over New England are purchasing tickets, they added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTurns out, Mojo Boston is going to be a lot bigger than anticipated,\u201d organizers wrote in the post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Local Mojo hosts two other annual music festivals \u2014 Mojofest Amherst and Mojofest Happy Valley, both of which have already taken place this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last week on Instagram<\/a>, Local Mojo announced the full festival line-up, which includes both local and international artists.<\/p>\n
