Paul McCartney<\/a> has officially released his first duet with his Beatles bandmate Ringo Starr, titled \u2018Home to Us\u2019.<\/p>\n The uplifting new track is the second single from his forthcoming album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane<\/em>, which is set to arrive on May 29th, 2026.<\/p>\n \u2018Home to Us\u2019 finds Starr and McCartney swapping lines throughout the track, while reminiscing fondly about their early days in Liverpool. Although money was tight, as they sing in the song, \u2018It was home to us\u2019.<\/p>\n Other charming lyrics in \u2018Home to Us\u2019 include, \u201cMy mum was in the kitchen washing dishes in the sink, And then she burnt the toast, The kids are in the alley playing ball until the sun goes down, But that was my hometown, And it was home to us.\u201d<\/p>\n They also sing, \u201cThe world around us wasn\u2019t safe, the place was falling down, But that was my hometown, And it was all I knew, \u2018Cause it was home to us.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2018Home to Us\u2019, just like the title track from the forthcoming record, taps into a wider theme of McCartney looking back at his youth and taking a moment to savour the memories he collated all those years ago before The Beatles took over the world.<\/p>\n In press materials announcing The Boys of Dungeon Lane<\/em><\/a>, it was stated that the album finds McCartney \u201ccandid, vulnerable and deeply reflective mood, writing with rare openness about his childhood in post-war Liverpool, the resilience of his parents, and early adventures shared with George Harrison and John Lennon long before the world had ever heard of Beatlemania.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this week, at a fan event held at Abbey Road Studios<\/a>, McCartney provided a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creation of \u2018Home to Us\u2019.<\/p>\n He told 50 lucky fans in attendance, \u201cIn writing the song, I\u2019m talking about where we came from. In common with a lot of people, you come from nothing, and you build yourself up. Ringo was from the Dingle, and that was well hard. He said he used to get mugged coming home, because he worked.\u201d<\/p>\n McCartney continued, \u201cEven though it was crazy,\u00a0it was home to us<\/a>.
