Daystar Television Network founder Joni Lamb<\/strong> died at age 65 following a decline in her health.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWith heavy hearts, we share the news that Joni Lamb graduated to Heaven this morning,\u201d the Daystar Board of Directors said in a statement on Thursday, May 7. \u201cWe know that she is in the presence of Jesus, reunited with Marcus, and receiving her reward for a beautiful life lived in surrender to the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post continued: \u201cJoni\u2019s love for the Lord and for the people we serve shaped this ministry from the beginning. We grieve her loss, and we are grateful for the legacy of faith she leaves behind.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ministry confirmed that Lamb suffered<\/a> from a back injury that coincided with ongoing health challenges. The injury \u201ccompounded those challenges and led to a more serious medical situation than anyone had anticipated.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHollywood mourned the deaths of some of its most legendary stars in 2026. The year started off with Broadway performer and influencer Bret Hanna-Shuford\u2019s death at age 46. At the end of the month, comedy acting icon Catherine O\u2019Hara died at age 71. In February, Designing Women\u2019s Camilla Carr died at age 83, Dawson\u2019s Creek [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to the statement, Lamb\u2019s condition worsened in recent days despite receiving medical care and \u201cthe prayers of so many around the world.\u201d Memorial details are expected to be announced at a later date as Lamb\u2019s loved ones requested prayers and privacy.<\/p>\n

Daystar also noted that there<\/a> is already an executive leadership plan in place.<\/p>\n

\u201cPreviously, (Joni Lamb) worked with the board to ensure an executive leadership team was in place so that the ministry would continue uninterrupted,\u201d their press release continued, adding that programming will continue as scheduled.<\/p>\n

The Christian TV network is expected to air tributes to Lamb, who cofounded Daystar in 1993 with her late husband, Marcus. Over the years, Daystar Television Network became one of the world\u2019s largest Christian TV networks.<\/p>\n

Lamb, for her part, spent nearly 40 years on air<\/a> and as president of the network, which is based in Texas.<\/p>\n
