At the time of the incident on Wednesday, the former prince – who has always denied wrongdoing and allegations regarding his past association with Epstein – was with a member of his private security detail and his dogs. While he was unharmed, Andrew was reportedly left shaken by the situation.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As reported by The Telegraph,<\/a> a source close to Andrew has asked for the security provision to be reviewed because of the risks to the former prince\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a fresh update today (May 8), PA reports that a man has been charged and appeared in court in regards to the incident on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Alex Jenkinson, 39, was granted conditional bail to not go near a number of sites linked to the Royal Family. This includes Sandringham, Buckingham Palace, Balmoral, Windsor and Highgrove.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Jenkinson, who pleaded not guilty at Westminster Magistrates\u2019 Court to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence to the former Duke of York on May 6, has also been told not to try to contact Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor directly or indirectly or approach him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Jenkinson, who gave his address as Debenham in Suffolk, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood while in custody on the same day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He pleaded not guilty to a further charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence against a man, Stephen Terry, in King\u2019s Lynn, on May 5, PA reports.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mr Jenkinson will stand trial at the same court on July 29. Prosecutor Josephine Jones said it is intended for Andrew to give evidence via a video link.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
