Sparta<\/a> have announced a UK and European tour to celebrate their new album \u2018Cut A Silhouette\u2019. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n Their sixth LP is set to arrive on May 29 via Equal Vision\/Rude Records \u2013 you can pre-order it here<\/a>. So far, it\u2019s been previewed by the single \u2018Everything You Say<\/a>\u2018.<\/p>\n Now, Texas alt-rock band have announced their return to the UK and Europe for a tour this October, which is set to kick off in Dublin.<\/p>\n They\u2019ll play shows in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, London and more across the UK, before heading to Paris, Cologne, and Hamburg, wrapping up with a show in Kortrijk, Belgium, on October 22.<\/p>\n Speaking on the upcoming shows, frontman Jim Ward said: \u201cThere is no better feeling than hopping on a plane to cross an ocean to play music. The gift of travel, friends, sweat and rock and roll is one that I\u2019ll be forever grateful for.<\/p>\n \u201cThis new record is a special one; it\u2019s something you can\u2019t plan for, but when the stars align, and the songs come together, you\u2019ve got to just go, go, go \u2013 so we will. We can\u2019t wait to get back to some of our favourite cities with some of our favourite people.\u201d<\/p>\n You can find a full list of dates below, and find tickets here<\/a>.<\/p>\n OCTOBER<\/strong> The upcoming album was inspired by a quote from Macaulay Culkin<\/a> in a documentary about the late comedian John Candy, with Culkin describing Candy\u2019s presence as something that \u201cjust entered your brain and cut a silhouette\u201d.<\/p>\n The phrase stuck with Ward and resonated his ambition for new music from the band. \u2018Cut A Silhouette\u2019 is produced by J. Robbins and features contributions from My Chemical Romance<\/a>\u2018s Frank Iero, Chevelle<\/a>\u2018s Kemble Walters and Carlos Ar\u00e9valo of Chicano Batman<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2018Split Lip\u2019<\/strong> Ward has also described the album as a \u201clove record\u201d and a return to the band\u2019s core creative chemistry, per a press release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
