\n\tIn Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s latest installment of\u00a0Song Shuffle<\/a><\/em>, Maya Hawke<\/a> took a leap of faith of faith. Speaking to Rolling Stone at SXSW<\/a>, she didn\u2019t share just her playlist, but her entire iTunes library, noting, \u201cI\u2019ve had it for a very long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFirst up, was Sean Kingston\u2019s \u201cFire Burning,\u201d which prompted Hawke to ask, \u201cWas there a bigger, better hit than \u2018Beautiful Girls\u2019?\u201d She declared, \u201cIt was one of my favorite, earliest songs to grind to at eighth grade dances with my braces. And it was awesome. It was a beautiful time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso on her library shuffle was Raffaella\u2019s \u201cNasa\u2019s Fake,\u201d a friend of Hawke\u2019s who described her fellow singer-songwriter as having a \u201cvoice that could shatter glass, in a good way,\u201d and Father John Misty\u2019s \u201cI Went to the Store One Day,\u201d which Hawke said inspired her excellent, recently released fourth album,\u00a0Maitreya Corso<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe shuffle lineup also included Breezeblocks by alt-J (\u201cIve gotten really lucky,\u201d quipped Hawke) and \u201cSeaside\u201d by the Kooks.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen asked what song she recommended viewers put on their playlist, Hawke answered, \u201cWell, everyone on my team and at my record label would probably kill me if I didn\u2019t say my own song, which is out now called \u2018Devil You Know,\u2019 off of my new album.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHawke also detailed returning to the road after three years, and said, \u201ctour really scares me. I get really, really nervous.\u201d She continued, \u201cI find that the older I get, the worse my stage fright gets. When I was younger, I didn\u2019t have stage fright. I just had to pee a lot before I went on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tStill, Hawke hopes to \u201cbuild a touring experience for myself that will hopefully give me the longevity and strength to want to and be able to do it more.\u201d The singer added, \u201cI\u2019m bringing in a sense of intimacy, and I\u2019m really trying to build a show that is the show I would want to go to, not the show I think other people want to be at. So we\u2019ll see if that works or not.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
