Bj\u00f6rk continues to be one of the coolest people alive. The groundbreaking, avant garde artist<\/a> made a surprise appearance to help kick off the 2026 Venice Biennale<\/a> this week\u2014an international arts and culture exhibition in Italy, which runs from May 9\u2013November 22. There, as part of the preview, the alternative icon conducted a DJ set while outfitted in one of her reliably-unconventional<\/a> ensembles, and the clip of it is quite easily one of the best videos I\u2019ve seen all year.<\/p>\n

As she danced behind her mixing board and fist-bumped like there was no tomorrow, Bj\u00f6rk wore a striking red ensemble with equally artful accessories. As one fan account recently put it<\/a>, quite astutely, on social media\u2014her performances have <\/em>always been like the Met Gala<\/a> of concerts, after all.<\/p>\n

For this set, the Icelandic superstar turned to the Bottega Veneta Fall\/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear collection by Louise Trotter<\/a>, pulling a cherry-hued dress straight off the runway.<\/p>\n

As one of the looks that closed the show this past March, the high-neck dress was composed of a bouncy, feathery fabric that shimmered as it caught the light (which occurred a lot, thanks to Bj\u00f6rk\u2019s jubilant hops throughout her set).<\/p>\n

However, one statement piece wasn\u2019t sufficient for the Grammy nominee. Instead, she took her Dj\u2019ing uniform to the next level by adding a plushy, sculptural headpiece in bright vermillion mohair, which was designed by Central Saint Martins alum Myah Hasbany<\/a>, as a part of their graduate collection. Already, the rising designer has caught the attention of stars like Erykah Badu<\/a> and was even just-recently hired as a part of the Dior Haute Couture team.<\/p>\n

The statement headpiece bounced and bounced with the artist.<\/p>\n

Finally, Bj\u00f6rk completed her look with a swirling gold mask by James Merry, which coiled around her face like liquid armor, adding an extravagant final touch to her statement-making fit.<\/p>\n
