It\u2019s not every day (or, to be honest, any day at all) you get to name a baby kangaroo. As it turns out, though, Prince George<\/a>, Princess Charlotte<\/a>, and Prince Louis just got to do exactly that.<\/p>\n Taking to Instagram, Robert Irwin<\/strong><\/a> \u2013\u00a0who is the son of legendary animal lover, the late Steve Irwin \u2013\u00a0revealed this week that the royal kids helped him name a newborn joey at Australia Zoo.<\/p>\n While casually name-dropping the Wales family<\/a> as his \u201cfriends,\u201d Robert shared on Instagram on May 7 that George, Charlotte, and Louis were given the honor of naming a baby kangaroo in his care at Australia Zoo.<\/p>\n \u201cG\u2019Day! It\u2019s Robert Irwin here with a couple of my mates,\u201d he said in the video. \u201cThis is, of course, the icon of Australia, the kangaroo, and I\u2019m very proud to announce that my friends, the Wales family, helped us to name our beautiful new joey.\u201d<\/p>\n As for what the royal children<\/a> called the joey? They opted for \u201ccwtch.\u201d In Welsh, that translates to cuddle, which is pretty fitting, as Robert explained in his post.<\/p>\n \u201cOur new joey\u2019s name is Cwtch, which is Welsh for cuddle,\u201d the Dancing with the Stars alum<\/a> said.\u00a0\u201c[That\u2019s] the absolute perfect name for a joey kangaroo, \u2019cause at this age, they love a cuddle, and they spend most of their time inside that pouch with their mom.\u201d<\/p>\n Robert ended the video by offering a thank you to the three royal kids for their help in finding a \u201cbrilliant\u201d name.<\/p>\n And, Robert wasn\u2019t alone in celebrating the joey\u2019s name.
