When de la Torre isn\u2019t teaching, her daughters use the space to work on their own art.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lee-article-text\">\n<p>\u201cI respect their technique,\u201d de la Torre said. \u201cIf they ask for help, I\u2019m there, but I try not to change who they are as artists.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lee-article-text\">\n<p>That balance \u2014 guidance without pressure \u2014 has shaped Monta\u00f1o\u2019s artistic voice.
