Seth Rollins shares his take on celebrity involvement in WWE<\/a>.<\/p>\n Ahead of his match against Bron Breakker at Backlash<\/a>, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins appeared on ESPN\u2019s UnSportsmanlike<\/em><\/a>. He shared his thoughts on celebrity involvement in the company\u2019s program and addressed the criticism Pat McAfee\u2019s involvement in WrestleMania 42 received.<\/p>\n Seth Rollins pointed out that fans weren\u2019t necessarily mad at McAfee\u2019s involvement in WWE when he was a commentator and had occasional in-ring programs, but rather disliked his placement in Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes\u2019 storyline that already had a 20-year history.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t mind it. I think there\u2019s a balance in our industry. Like, you don\u2019t want me doing too much,\u201d Seth Rollins said. \u201cYou don\u2019t want me in the booth doing too much. Like, I can\u2019t be [sports broadcaster] Kevin Harlan. I\u2019m not like that. I\u2019m not Tom Brady. I don\u2019t have that expertise, but a little bit here and there.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I think that\u2019s the same for wrestling. There was a big pushback against Pat McAfee when he came in. And it\u2019s like, yeah, he\u2019s inserted in this WrestleMania main event storyline that already had 20 years of history with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Our audience is like, \u2018Ehh, maybe not.\u2019 But when Pat was on commentary for us, he did a great job. He did a couple of matches here and there. He did one in NXT that was awesome. He worked with Gunther, they had a great match,\u201d Seth Rollins continued.<\/p>\n Seth Rollins also noted that while celebrities like IShowSpeed<\/a> and Bad Bunny are vital for attracting new eyes to the product, they should be used in \u201csmall doses\u201d to ensure they enhance the shows without overshadowing the full-time roster.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd so it\u2019s not like \u2014 it\u2019s just in small doses. So Speed, Bad Bunny, small doses, great for our industry. And it allows us to kind of branch out and for different people and different audiences to see what we do.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking further, Seth Rollins had high praise for Bad Bunny, calling him this generation\u2019s Michael Jackson.<\/p>\n \u201cYou don\u2019t understand how big it is that Bad Bunny is wrestling in WWE. Bad Bunny is this generation\u2019s Michael Jackson,\u201d Seth Rollins said.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, this guy is the most \u2014 he sells out concerts and stadiums globally. We\u2019re talking like nearly hundreds of thousands of people at these shows, and he\u2019s coming to wrestle for WWE and is so pumped about it and is psyched about it and is willing to like put in the work. He doesn\u2019t just show up game day and be like, \u2018You know, I can do this.\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018Okay, give me a ring. I gotta train, send somebody down here,’\u201d Seth Rollins said.
