A royal author has recently spoken about an alleged incident which involved Andrew and his dog, as well as Prince Philip\u2019s reaction. Andrew Lowrie spoke on the latest Palace Confidential episode and claimed the incident took place at Sandringham when Andrew was in his 20s at a barbecue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Mr Lowrie said: \u201cThe story came to me from a member, a very close friend of the Royal Family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cAnd he was shocked to see Andrew kick the head of his dog, Andrew’s dog, because I think he grabbed a sausage roll or something.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cAnd no one said anything at the time. And this man felt he had to say something.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The author said the man \u201creprimanded\u201d Andrew and told him to \u201cget lost\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Mr Lowrie then revealed the late Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s reaction that evening.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
He said: \u201cThat evening, as they were having drinks and dinner, Prince Philip came up to him and said, thank you, \u2018that needed to be said, and I’m glad you said it\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
\u201cBut the question, I think, is why didn’t Prince Philip say it? Was he worried about embarrassing Andrew in front of this person?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
