Britney Spears is giving herself grace this Mother\u2019s Day weekend.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, May 10, the Toxic singer<\/a>, 44, took to Instagram<\/a> with a casual update, sharing the details of a recent day spent with her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James.<\/p>\n

Days after leaving a rehabilitation center<\/a>, she posted a photo of a yellow spotted snake along with a caption that read, \u201cWent to the pet store with my kids and look at what what a beautiful baby snake this is\u2026 snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck\u2026 I\u2019m so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey\u2026 all a blessing in disguise\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself\u2026 It\u2019s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The spiritual update came two months after her arrest in Ventura County, California<\/a>, for driving under the influence. According to the Ventura County Sheriff\u2019s Office\u2019s inmate records, the 44-year-old singer was pulled over on March 4 by California Highway Patrol officers. She was booked by the sheriff’s office around 3 a.m. and released from custody hours later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She was also ordered to submit to search and seizure of her vehicle when needed and can only be in possession of drugs with a valid prescription.<\/p>\n

Britney will continue her mental health treatment, seeing a psychiatrist twice a month and a psychologist once a week.<\/p>\n

The singer has been in the spotlight for most of her life, first appearing on-screen at the young age of 11 when she starred on The Mickey Mouse Club.<\/p>\n

The singer\u2019s mental health hadn\u2019t raised alarm until 2007 when she was hospitalized on numerous occasions after public outbursts like attacking a paparazzi\u2019s car and shaving her head. The following year, the Los Angeles Superior Court appointed her father, Jamie Spears, as her conservator.<\/p>\n

In November 2021, a judge ended Britney Spears’ 13-year conservatorship<\/a>, giving her back full control over her life and finances.<\/p>\n

At the time, Britney told a judge she felt the legal agreement was doing \u201cway more harm than good.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
