Just days after releasing the A.G. Cook<\/a> and Finn Keane<\/a>-produced \u201cRock Music<\/a>,\u201d Charli XCX<\/a> is back with a B-side. Called \u201cI Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night,\u201d the track is only available on vinyl and her aptly-named Instagram account b.sides<\/a>\u2014it also comes with a new video directed by The Moment<\/em><\/a> filmmaker Aidan Zamiri. Watch that below.<\/p>\n A slower and softer companion to the chugging, electric-guitar-laden\u201cRock Music,\u201d \u201cI Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night\u201d finds Charli singing to a friend she\u2019s considering turning into something more. \u201cMaybe we could become each other, like something out of a Jacques Rivette movie or something,\u201d she sings, referencing the French New Wave director. \u201cI wonder if I just want you as my best friend, or if I\u2019m just a really late bloomer.\u201d Later, she touches on her own sexuality, noting: \u201cNow I’m wondering if maybe I could be gay, but come on, look at me, I\u2019m probably not. I\u2019ve always wondered if you were actually gay, or if that\u2019s something you just say for your career.\u201d<\/p>\n The video, shot in black-and-white, follows Charli as she struts and spins around a studio space. In the caption for the video, Charli wrote that she filmed the music video for the song with Zamiri while on set for another film shoot in Kyoto, Japan. She also encouraged listeners to \u201crip the audio if you want it xx,\u201d indicating that this song isn\u2019t likely to pop up on DSPs any time soon.<\/p>\n Over the past few months, Charli has been teasing the follow-up to her 2024 album Brat<\/em><\/a>, noting in a recent British Vogue<\/em> cover story<\/a> that the record features more guitars and less pitch-shifted vocals. In February, Charli also shared a companion album<\/a> for Emerald Fennell\u2019s film adaptation of Wuthering Heights<\/em><\/a>, which featured John Cale and Sky Ferreira (although Ferreira took some umbrage with the release, claiming<\/a> that the soundtrack drew significantly on her old demos). Outside the studio, Charli has been busy on the silver screen\u2014she recently starred in the Polish film Erupja<\/em><\/a>, which premiered in April, and has upcoming roles in Daniel Goldhaber\u2019s Faces of Death<\/em><\/a> remake and Gregg Araki\u2019s I Want Your Sex<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
