Much of that training involved mastering the bo staff, a traditional weapon measuring in at a commanding 6 ft. in length.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI had experience with the bo staff years ago, but had not worked with one more recently\u2014and with such weight,\u201d Tati explains in the latest episode of the video series <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/womenshealthmag.com\/videos\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Well Said;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Well Said&quot;}\" class=\"link \"><em>Well Said<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThey let me take a practice bo home, and getting the moves right, getting my spins right, trying to make everything in a straight line, was pretty intense.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Unsurprisingly, Tati\u2019s high level of dedication warranted plenty of rest and recovery\u2014for both her body and mind.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWorking with the bo staff was a lot of stress on my shoulders,\u201d she says. \u201cI would go see an osteo pretty frequently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Once the cameras stopped rolling, Tati also spent quality time with co-star Adeline Rudolph\u2014a bond she says helped keep her in a good headspace.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI think that our minds are just as important as our bodies,\u201d Tati says. \u201c[Addie and I] would make a point to, at the end of every day, come together and sort of decompress together\u2014talk about the day, whatever stressed us out, whatever were our most exciting moments\u2026 Because some days were challenging.
