Grammy winner Brad Paisley is releasing new music today as part of an ongoing project titled Tacklebox. A portion of this new music comes from his extensive catalog of unreleased and unrecorded songs, dating back to the launch of his career in the \u201890s.<\/p>\n
Other songs were recently written and inspired by the vocal stylists that defined the era including Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn and Alabama, as well as \u201880s-influenced productions similar to those of George Strait and Garth Brooks.<\/p>\n
\u201cI see this project as never-ending,\u201d explained Paisley in the announcement. \u201cIt\u2019s almost like the fans have a direct link to my Dropbox or to a playlist that never ends. We are calling it Tacklebox because it\u2019s a box full of hooks, country lyric hooks. In this digital age, I have every song I\u2019ve ever written at my fingertips.\u201d<\/p>\n
The first song from Tacklebox is \u201cFallin.\u2019\u201d Additional music will be released this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis project gave us a license to dig back into the catalog of songs that were never released, that feel like a time period, a style of writing, a sound and nostalgia,\u201d continued Paisley. \u201cWe went back into the studio to record or re-record at The Castle in Franklin, Tennessee, the same place where several of my first few albums were recorded. When I first started writing and recording music, I couldn\u2019t have dreamed of the ability to put something out instantly for the fans.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n
Paisley also announced additional shows for his \u201cBrad Paisley Live Tour\u201d kicking of on Aug. 27 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The ticket presale for fan club members, Paisley Nation, begins May 12 at 10:00 AM local time. The tour will offer a variety of VIP packages and experiences.<\/p>\n
The new stops wrap around previously announced shows and festival dates and follow his Europe run in June. Jake Worthington will open select dates on the \u201cBrad Paisley Live Tour\u201d with additional special guests to be announced soon. The tour is promoted by Live Nation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Paisley wrote \u201cI\u2019m Gonna Miss Her\u201d in 1995, during his senior year at Belmont University, for his senior showcase.
