Through a $10 million investment, the school is a catalyst to help develop future industry leaders,\u00a0ushering in the next era of themed entertainment.\u202f\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The first-of-its-kind Universal School of Experience Leadership is housed within the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, ranked No. 1 globally.\u00a0With the addition of Universal\u2019s new school and\u00a0the college\u2019s\u00a0School of Hospitality Leadership,\u00a0students now have\u00a0access\u00a0to a\u00a0dual-school model\u00a0that\u00a0brings together experience-focused education with\u00a0business strategy, operations, and service leadership.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe Universal School of Experience Leadership and Innovation\u00a0unites\u00a0creativity, technology and the\u00a0practical\u00a0application of business, marketing, and guest service to develop tomorrow\u2019s leaders in themed entertainment\u00a0and immersive experiences,\u201d said Mark Woodbury,\u00a0Chairman\u00a0and CEO of Universal Destinations &amp; Experiences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cUCF was built to power what\u2019s next for our students, for industry, and for the State of Florida,\u201d said UCF President Alexander N. Cartwright. \u201cThis collaboration with Universal Destinations &amp; Experiences represents our mission at its best, creating an environment where students are learning in direct connection with the people and ideas shaping the future of immersive experiences.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>A First-of-its-Kind Model for Experience Education<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Universal and UCF partnership will also support research through a new Hospitality Technology Lab, designed to be a creative sandbox for students to collaborate, test ideas, and gain practical hands-on experience working alongside UCF faculty, Universal professionals, and industry stakeholders.\u00a0Students will gain\u00a0timely\u00a0insight that reflects industry needs as part of their education.\u00a0Built around innovation and interdisciplinary teaming, the lab embeds coursework, student projects, and faculty research in a shared space, equipping graduates with both current skills and the adaptability to lead in a constantly evolving technology ecosystem.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new school\u2019s research will build on UCF\u2019s existing strengths, applying university\u00a0expertise\u00a0to one of the world\u2019s most dynamic industries.\u00a0Focus areas for teaching, learning, and research will include:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Service robotics and human-centered\u00a0approaches to shape guest and employee interactions\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>AR and VR simulation technologies for training, operations, and immersive environments\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>AI and digital twins for\u00a0optimizing\u00a0and personalizing the guest experience\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This\u00a0work\u00a0extends\u00a0a decades-long partnership between UCF and Universal rooted in collaboration and shared success.
