Irish independent artist Twisty unveils his powerful new single \u201cOrchid Remains\u201d this May a personal track born from unexpected inspiration, almost lost forever.<\/p>\n
Rooted in two very different but equally moving sources, the song began to take shape after Twisty watched two thought\u2011provoking documentaries: one exploring the life and legacy of Brehon Law, and another uncovering ancient Irish phrases and language that have slowly disappeared from everyday use. Struck by themes of memory, legacy, things left behind, and voices fading through time, he began writing music and lyrics that wove those ideas together creating a track that toys with the lyrics and uses a catchy song.<\/p>\n
\u201cI started putting this together just for myself,\u201d Twisty explains. \u201cIt was never meant to see the light of day. At one point I\u2019d nearly scrapped the whole thing and I wasn\u2019t sure if anyone would connect with it. But something kept pulling me back to it, and I decided to finish it. I\u2019m really glad I did.<\/p>\n
