A man who secured a date with Coleen Nolan <\/a>has revealed the one aspect that caught him off guard.<\/p>\n

Neil Poynter is currently on Celebs Go Dating.<\/a> The 61-year-old is recognised for his mini-series on TikTok,<\/a> ‘SingleAtSixty’, where he chronicles life as a single person in his 60s.<\/p>\n

The TikTok<\/a> personality landed a spot on the popular E4 dating programme after a casting producer discovered his social media content. He has now managed to secure a date with Loose Women<\/a> panellist Coleen, but claimed that his date was heavily edited and cut short, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a TikTok clip, Neil stated: “Really interesting watching last night and the fact that they must have had a total of an hour and a half video of me from the pre-interview, post-interview and the date itself, and what do we get about 3 minutes total on screen, which is ok – It’s television. Maybe I wasn’t entertaining enough.”<\/p>\n

Providing additional details, he went on: “The one thing I will say is my reaction when Coleen asked me if I’ve ever killed anyone. Those little bits, there are very obvious edits of my looking away, looking down, but that is not how it panned out.”<\/p>\n

Neil continued: “What actually happened is I almost immediately laughed and went straight into the story of when I went, ‘That is an interesting story’, and about me not having any medals. So that was quite heavily edited, but it was interesting to watch.”<\/p>\n

Wales Online has contacted Channel 4 for comment.<\/p>\n

After their date, Neil was eager to spend more time with Coleen and requested another meeting, though Coleen did not share his enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

The Loose Women panellist described Neil as “a really nice man”, yet admitted she didn’t feel “any connection” or “attraction” towards him.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the experience, Neil said: “You all saw, well those of you who watched saw that I did not get selected by Coleen to go to Tenerife, but it was all great fun.”<\/p>\n

He went on to add: “What I’m not going to do now.. I’m not going to dish any dirt, I’m not going to say anything about anybody that is bad or anything like that at all.”<\/p>\n

This follows Coleen recently opening up about her bittersweet experience on Celebs Go Dating. The 61-year-old joined the programme hoping to find romance once more after two unsuccessful marriages and the conclusion of her last known public relationship in 2023.<\/p>\n

Speaking to her son Shane and daughter Ciara on their Nolans Uncensored podcast, she said of the experience: “I’ve got to say, I’ve never had so much fun doing a TV show as I have on Celebs Go Dating.<\/p>\n

Coleen went on to describe the series as “one of the hardest” she has worked on because of the gruelling 14 to 15-hour filming days, though she still had “the best time” with her co-stars.<\/p>\n

“Unfortunately, the dating side of it has been an absolute disaster for me,” she added.<\/p>\n

Celebs Go Dating can be streamed on Channel 4 online with new episodes released weeknights on E4.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
