\n\tIt\u2019s almost time to to head to Briar University for the first season of Off Campus<\/a><\/em>, and The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> has an exclusive look at a scene from the show. <\/p>\n \n\tBased on the Elle Kennedy books of the same name, the romance series follows a college hockey team and the women in their lives. The show, set to debut on Prime Video tomorrow, tackles the typical college woes, along with some heavier topics, and will focus its first season on Ella Bright\u2019s Hannah Wells and Belmont Cameli\u2019s Garrett Graham.<\/p>\n \n\tBright\u2019s Hannah is a music<\/a> student, so unsurprisingly, music plays a large part in the series. In the exclusive clip below, Hannah collaborates with Justin (played by Josh Heuston) a fellow musician and the frontman of the show\u2019s fictional band After Hours. Hannah\u2019s entering the school\u2019s pop music showcase and has enlisted Justin to help write lyrics for a melody she composed.<\/p>\n \n\tThe song, \u201cYellow Haze,\u201d will be featured on the official Off Campus<\/em> soundtrack, also releasing tomorrow (May 13) from Island Records. The 16-song album features a blend of original music from Asha Banks, The Two Lips and more, along with music from Remi Wolf and After Hours, the fictional band. The Two Lips\u2019 \u201cIn Every Lifetime\u201d was featured in the show\u2019s trailer and was debuted at a live show in Los Angeles last month with members of the cast.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Off Campus<\/em> soundtrack includes four original song \u2014 the show has 19 on-camera performances throughout it\u2019s first season, according to a release. Hannah sings an original song by Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Amy Allen and Ethan Gruska in the season finale.<\/p>\n \n\tThe book series\u00a0Off Campus<\/em>, which begins with\u00a0The Deal<\/em>, follows a new-but-connected couple in each book. The show, which follows\u00a0The Deal<\/em>\u2019s storyline, plans to keep that model.\u00a0Season one dives headfirst into the age-old romantic trope of fake dating with music student Hannah Wells, who, in true hockey fashion, is often called Wellsy by her love interest, Garrett Graham. Graham is the son of a professional hockey legend and captain of Briar University\u2019s hockey team.<\/p>\n \n\tBright told THR<\/em> at the show\u2019s premiere that one of the show\u2019s many musical moments was the scene she was most excited for the audience to see. \u201cThere is a really fun musical element in the first episode that I had the privilege of getting to perform in it. The song that I get to perform was my manifestation song for the whole audition process,\u201d the 19-year-old actress explained. \u201cIt ended up being in the top [two] on my Spotify Wrapped.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tOther series regulars include Mika Abdalla (Snack Shack<\/em>), Antonio Cipriano (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin<\/em>), Jalen Thomas Brooks (The Pitt<\/em>), Heuston (Dune: Prophecy<\/em>) and Stephen Kalyn (Gen V<\/em>). Fans of the book series will be excited to see the whole Briar U gang together throughout the series. Among some of these series regulars are lead characters from other novels in Kennedy\u2019s\u00a0Off Campus<\/em>\u00a0series. It\u2019s yet to be announced which book will be adapted for the second season, which was already announced well before<\/a> the show\u2019s debut. <\/p>\n \n\tLouisa Levy serves as the co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Gina Fattore.\u00a0Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman executive produce for Temple Hill.
