Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> snuck in a diss toward CBS<\/a>\u2019 parent company, Paramount<\/a>, on Monday during a joint interview with fellow late-night heavyweights on \u201cThe Late Show<\/a> with Stephen Colbert<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Kimmel \u2014 while sitting alongside \u201cStrike Force Five<\/a>\u201d co-hosts Seth Meyers, John Oliver, Jimmy Fallon and Colbert \u2014 recalled ABC briefly yanking his show off the air<\/a> last year before pointing to the wave of people who canceled their Disney+ subscriptions<\/a> in response.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhy aren\u2019t you people canceling Paramount+? \u2019Cause you didn\u2019t have it in the first place?\u201d asked Kimmel, whose knock on Paramount\u2019s streaming service drew some laughs from Colbert, Fallon and Meyers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Kimmel\u2019s quip arrives as his buddy Colbert enters the final stretch at \u201cThe Late Show,\u201d which CBS decided to cancel last year due to what the network insisted<\/a> were \u201cpurely\u201d financial reasons. \u201cThe Late Show\u201d is set to end on May 21.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Like droves of Colbert\u2019s fans and supporters, Kimmel has questioned<\/a> such claims, with many viewers suspecting political pressure<\/a> played a role in Paramount \u2014 now led by a Trump-aligned CEO in the wake of last year\u2019s massive merger with Skydance Media \u2014 pulling the plug on \u201cThe Late Show.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
