U2<\/a> were spotted surrounded by crowds as they shot a music video for their new track, ‘Street of Dreams’. The Edge<\/a>, Bono<\/a>, Adam Clayton<\/a>, and Larry Mullen Jr.<\/a> were atop a school bus graffitied by Mexican artist Chavis M\u00e1rmol in Mexico City May 12.<\/p>\n The track is from their yet-to-be announced next studio album, due for release later this year.<\/p>\n On social media the band shared clips of the impromptu performance.<\/p>\n “The thunder and rain crashed the generator for the film shoot”, stated the band online. “Which meant a bewildered but welcoming neighbour let the U2ers crash their apartment at dinner time and out to their balcony”.<\/p>\n They were also joined by drummer Larry Mullen Jr. Due to neck and back injuries, he missed the band’s 2023-2024 Las Vegas residency at the Sphere, with Bram van den Berg filling in. It was the first time Mullen had missed a U2 show since 1978.<\/p>\n In April, they surprise released their EP\u00a0Easter Lily<\/em>. Released on April 3, it coincided with Good Friday, and was the second in a pair of six-track EPs released to finish the Lent season. Their previous EP Days of Ash<\/em>, was released on February 18, Ash Wednesday.<\/p>\n U2’s last album was\u00a0Songs of Surrender<\/em>, it was re-recorded material released in 2023.
