The Princess of Wales will embark on a new \u201cglobal mission\u201d to seek out the world\u2019s best child-rearing methods.<\/p>\n

In what is described as a \u201chuge moment\u201d for her return to work after cancer, the Princess is starting a two-day trip to Italy<\/a> on Wednesday to learn more about its early childhood education.<\/p>\n

It is part of a new schedule of overseas trips she has planned after taking several years away from travel to undergo chemotherapy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She will return to the country where she spent her gap year<\/a> on a fact-finding mission that aides called \u201can important step\u201d for her early-childhood project.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a huge moment for the Princess,\u201d said a palace aide. \u201cThere will be many highlights of 2026, but this being her first international visit post her recovery… this is a really significant moment for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Princess will land in Italy on Wednesday for the two-day visit to Reggio Emilia<\/a>. The city is known for its early childhood ethos, based around building environments to allow children to discover themselves through play, art, nature and their relationship with the caregivers.<\/p>\n

The Princess, who is said to have read widely on the method, will speak to teachers, parents, community elders and spend time with young children at play.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
