Bellingham\u2019s annual Northwest Tune-Up Festival<\/a> is returning this summer, and its lineup of concerts has been announced.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The fifth annual NW Tune-Up Festival will run from July 10-12 this year, featuring live music, vendors, a beer garden and mountain biking.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cKnown for blending world-class riding with high-energy live performances, Northwest Tune-Up has carved out a unique lane among North American summer festivals: equal parts mountain bike gathering, outdoor expo and waterfront music experience. What began as a grassroots celebration of Bellingham\u2019s cycling culture has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest\u2019s signature summer events, drawing more than 13,000 attendees annually, with a large portion of the waterfront festival grounds remaining free and open to the public throughout the weekend,\u201d a news release from the festival states.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The festivals lineup of live music has been announced, with some new sounds and experiences for festival goers.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThis year\u2019s music programming leans into diversity and discovery, moving from electronic and hip-hop to funk, indie rock, bluegrass and global fusion across two nights of main stage performances,\u201d the news release states.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Friday\u2019s lineup features headliner Hippie Sabotage<\/a>, along with Stephen Day<\/a>, Henry Mansfield<\/a>, Dirtwire,<\/a> and Delhi 2 Dublin<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Saturday\u2019s lineup features more funk and hip-hop groups such as Here Come the Mummies<\/a>, Souls of Mischief<\/a>, Sierra Hull<\/a>, Thunderpussy<\/a>, and Pearl & the Oysters<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cNorthwest Tune-Up has always been about bringing people together through movement, music and shared experiences,\u201d said festival co-founder Brandon Watts wrote in the news release. \u201cYou can spend the day riding world-class trails, watching athletes throw down at the jump contests, exploring new gear or hanging with friends downtown \u2014 then roll straight into a live show on the waterfront. There really isn\u2019t another event that combines those worlds quite like this.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The festival will also include free concerts outside ticketed entrances at the Rainier Tune Town Stage on Saturday and Sunday, that will \u201cspotlight emerging local and regional artists,\u201d according to the news release.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cDesigned as a gathering space for riders, families and downtown visitors alike, Tune Town has become a launchpad for up-and-coming talent and a key part of the festival\u2019s all-ages daytime atmosphere,\u201d the news release states.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The full festival schedule<\/a> can be found on the NW Tune-Up website.
